On June 17th, the IEE-ULB was represented at the CES Conference in Dublin by François Foret, Andrea Apollonio and Anemona Constantin. The event was part of the outreach activities of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, BoundEUries.

The mini-symposium, "European ‘Culture Wars’… or More Politicisation in New Clothes? Actors and Battlegrounds of Political Conflicts in the EU", brought together distinguished experts in the fields of European and US politics, EU institutions, policies and law, political conflict, morality policies, and related subjects.

The lively discussion attempted to map the shifting patterns of dissensus over time, space, and issues, and to determine what is novel and distinctive about the current battle of ideas and values in Europe.
