Research stays
The IEE regularly welcomes visiting researchers whose work focuses on its main research themes. On average, 14 visiting researchers per academic year come from all over Europe and beyond for visits lasting between one and 12 months.

How to become a visiting researcher at the IEE-ULB ?
Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, which must include:
- a completed application form (available on the ULB website) accompanied by the other formalities indicated on the University's website
- an up-to-date CV
- a research project highlighting the connection with one or more of the IEE’s research areas
Before submitting their application, candidates must have contacted a professor affiliated with the IEE who agrees to supervise their research stay.
The completed and signed application form must be sent by email to Dominique Dembour, together with the CV and the research project.
Decisions regarding applications for visiting researchers are made by the IEE Council, which meets five times a year (according to the institutional calendar).
